Hair care: oily roots, dry tips

"Every woman is beautiful. You may not be born a beauty. You can become her, because real beauty consists of perfect internal health and regular care of yourself and your face."

The main reason why excessive fat content of the hair roots occurs is the hyperactivity of the sebaceous glands. This problem is most often found in people with a predominant Kapha dosha. In winter, when the air gets cold, the body tends to release more fat, as a result of which the hair roots can get salted faster.

An imbalance in the sebaceous glands, which provide nutrition to the hair, also leads to dryness and split ends. Washing the ends of the hair with shampoo or applying conditioner to the roots of the hair can aggravate this problem. Therefore, it is better to wash the ends of the hair with a mild shampoo, not shampoo for oily hair.

Hair care methods

  • Use a mild shampoo and no more than twice a week.
  • Hair masks help to moisturize dry hair.
  • Apply a thick conditioner only to the hair, bypassing the scalp.
  • Trim the damaged ends of the hair so that they split less.
  • Try to lubricate the ends of freshly trimmed hair with oil. It is also good to apply a little oil to the hair before washing, but only on the hair.

Home remedies

  • Lemon water helps to close the pores and prevents the rapid formation of sebum. Lemon water is applied before shampooing. The recipe is very simple: squeeze a little lemon juice and mix with a little water. Apply to the scalp and gently massage. Leave on for 5 minutes and then rinse with shampoo. Apply a thick conditioner to the hair, bypassing the scalp.
  • Mix 2-3 egg whites with lemon juice and apply to the scalp. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with gentle massaging movements. Egg white will stop the excessive release of fat on the scalp.
  • A mixture of henna with egg white and kefir is a natural conditioner for hair. Henna dries the scalp, and protein and kefir reduce dryness and give the hair a natural shine. This procedure also reduces hair loss and enhances their growth.

The application of natural kefir reduces the fat content of the scalp and also acts as a good conditioner for hair.

Power mode

  • Drink more water, do not ignore the feeling of hunger.
  • Avoid fatty and heavy foods, prefer low-calorie foods.
  • Include more fruits in your diet, especially fibrous, fiber-rich ones.
  • Limit the consumption of meat.

Treatment at the Kerala Center: "Kesha" without oil

For people with oily scalp and split ends, the "Cache" procedure without oil is usually recommended. A mixture of water and lemon juice is applied to the scalp for 5 minutes. Then, using a cotton pad, this mixture is removed, after which rose water is applied and massaged for 10 minutes.

Then the oil is applied for 5 minutes. The hair is treated with steam, which contributes to their nutrition. Then the head is well washed with shampoo and conditioner with proteins is applied.
